Most of us like to travel… whether for work or leisure. Below are some cities well worth visiting in 2014!
London
The heartbeat of the UK economy and London remains an absolute must visit city. Both a corporate hub of increasing skyscrapers and still remains the greenest city of its size in the world (londoncouncils.gov).
Full of historic traditional buildings like St Paul’s Cathedral, The House of Parliament or the beautiful period buildings of Regent Street which are now home to popular shops. London offers the modern icons like the London Eye which is the world’s tallest cantilevered observation wheel and The Shard as the tallest building in Europe.
It is this real old meets new sensation in London that gives its iconic splendour and beauty, in fact London is one of the most instagrammed cities in the world and the only European city to feature in the top 5 (Instagram, 2013). London is brimming with a rich architecture, artistic and entertainment facilities. A very sophisticated choice.
Paris
Still a favourite of many travellers and possibly the most romantic city in the world with cosy cafes, Michelin starred restaurants and rich architecture and art. Paris is one for those who enjoy the finer things in life. You can enjoy walks along the tranquil river Seine or learn about the magnificent Eiffel Towers history. Ideal for a romantic getaway or family holiday.
Shanghai
Historically a textiles and fishing town but of course now a key financial center of the world, showcasing the economic development in Asia and is expected to get 6.5 million international visitors this year. So whether visiting for business, there is plenty to do in your down time and for those who seek a buzzing holiday Shanghai is worth a visit.
Zurich
Not only is Zurich a financial hub of Switzerland it offers the opportunity to visit a fantastic Swiss history museum and two stunning cathedrals as well as an interesting old town. A very easy going friendly place to visit.
Glasgow
With the Commonwealth Games, 2014 is going to be an exciting year for this vibrant Scottish City. Due to the games and the growth of the city as a business and visitor centre. Glasgow is impressive with how much it offers. Glasgow is a great shopping city and is bursting with venues and theatres such as the SECC and the Queens Hall. The cultural sector is also booming and this city is becoming more and more a visitor hub!
